So we were waiting four or five days for a definite answer, but the team kept us updated every day. They said they would look into it for us, and confirm the booking again with the hotel. We contacted zenhotels customer care through Facebook and got told that our bookings were made through different providers, and this caused the problem. The manager confirmed one booking but couldn't see the second one. I found some negative reviews so decided to check the bookings directly with the hotel. So, I did that, got the vouchers, everything was fine, until I decided to check our reservation with the hotel directly. I booked two rooms (travelling with friends) and this is where we had a bit of an issue - you can't book two rooms at once, you need to make two different reservations. I ended up paying about 30% less on zenhotels for a hotel in Bunol than on other sites I looked at. The hotel wanted me to pay at the front desk and mentioned they've never heard of ZenHotels, as well as explaining to me that they think I might've been scammed and my creditcard info stolen. The hotel I was staying at had no people here that speak English, so them calling here and/or sending emails in English would not work, and I told them this several times- to no avail. They did fail communicating with the hotel I was staying at several times, but just didn't tell me. They have not once, after every lengthy call in which I had to re-explain my situation again and again, reached out to me to give me an update, to tell me that they've failed, or anything. Every time they told me to not worry and they'll figure it out and they'll contact me in 30 minutes. I had to spend several hours on the phone with them, in total about 5 hours talking to them, and another few hours writing emails. ![]() Their customer service was friendly, but completely useless. I was lucky they had another room available, but ZenHotels refused to give me back my money, so I had no money to spend during the one week of vacation I had in Tokyo. The reservation made through their website never reached the hotel I "booked" through them. We have a villa in Montenegro and to our complete surprise they are listing our property there complete with photographs (copyright breach, which is a serious issue in itself) and claim they are working for their partners.
